Charlotte Photo Gallery - Uptown's Skyscrapers

Charlotte has many skyscrapers but none of them provide an observation deck so you need to rely on rooftop bars for a bird's eye view. I chose Fahrenheit at the Hyatt Place Hotel south of the main skyscraper cluster that offers a good view. Uptown is patterned in a grid with neat blocks, good landscaping, but the streets were eeringly quiet on a weekday afternoon. Charlotte is a major financial centre, home to Wells Fargo's east coast headquarters and Bank of America.
