One of the province's most famous gardens, Qinghui was once home to the Huang family, a scholar from the Ming Dynasty in the early 17th century. Restored by the next owner during the Qing Dynasty, it eventually came into the local government's hands and is now open to the public as a museum.I arrived just as it opened to beat the crowds. The site has many buildings and a variety of different garden landscapes, patterned in the Lingnan style. Do come early especially on the weekend, because the crowds quickly grew and by the time I left just after 10:30am, it wasn't possible to enjoy the site anymore.
