Tai Kok Tsui's Lennon Wall is located in an underpass just outside New Kowloon Plaza.

Rally organizers had initially planned a march through Mongkok, which was banned by the police. After an appeal and negotiations, an altered route in neighbouring Tai Kok Tsui was agreed. Starting at the Anchor Street Playground, the revised route looped around the Olympian City area, but protesters spilled into the main Nathan Road anyway by late afternoon.

While the official end point was at Cherry Street Park, which separates Tai Kok Tsui from Mongkok, many protesters spilled into Mongkok to continue protesting anyway.
