  • the salt pans on the north coast
  • the basilica that rises from the fields
  • a cruise on the Inland Sea

  • The ferry takes about half hour to reach Mgarr on the eastern end of Gozo. From there, catch a bus into Victoria, or Ir-Rabat. Your bus pass covers both Malta and Gozo.

Roam the streets and feel the history. Victoria is the capital of Gozo. The name was given in 1887 to ceelbrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.

St. George's Basilica was built in the 1670s and was consecrated in 1755. The interiors are lavishly decorated and is the most exquisite on the island.

The Citadel is located on a flat-top hill, and has been fortified since the Bronze Age at least. It was so large that in the mid-13th century, the island's population of 366 families could stay inside it. These are the oldest inhabited buildings on the island.
