Malta Photo Gallery

Although Malta is the EU's smallest state, it has plenty to offer to easily fill up a week. Surrounded by the sea between Italy and Africa, it is an English oasis owing to its former colonial status.

Malta's rich history included influences from the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, and Normans. The Knights of St. John came after they were evicted from Rhodes by the Ottomans in the 16th century. Malta then became an important location in the struggle between the Christian and Islamic worlds.

Grab a bus pass for the week and explore the country.
