From Victoria, catch bus 310 to Marsalforn, a quiet fishing village / resort town on the northern end of the island with blue waters and barely anyone else. The town clusters around a bay with a small beach and waterfront promenade.

The bus stops in the town a short way away from the waterfront. Alternatively, if you want to see the salt pans only, the bus continues further along the coast and get off at Xwejni, just before it turns back to Victoria.

Salt pans of rectangular shape line this stretch of coastline. Cut into the rock, seawater collects inside, and when the water evaporates, salt crystals are left behind and stored in rooms wedged into the cliffs.
