Ait Benhaddou's ksar was made famous in a few Hollywood movies. On the southern section of the High Atlas Mountains, this group of earthen buildings are surrounded by high defensive walls and has become a major tourist stop just 30km from Ouarzazate. _ At the top of the site is a fortified granary. The supply of grain was very important back in the day.
