The National Trust was founded in 1895 to preserve historic and natural places as well as to open them up for everyone to enjoy. It now manages more than 780 miles of coastline and over 500 historic houses, castles, parks, and gardens.
An individual membership costs just over 91 pounds a year and gives free access to many sites across the United Kingdom.
