Nha Trang Photo Gallery - Long Son Temple

Located along the main road out of Nha Trang into the mountains just beyond the train station, Long Son Temple is built along the hillside and dates from 1900, with the worshipping facility at street level while 2 large Buddha statues sit uphill, first in a reclining position, followed by a sitting one at the top of the hill. This is an active place of worship and my summer outfit was not conservative enough to gain entry into the prayer hall. This was also the only place where I encountered a potential scam artist, who claimed to work at the temple in English. I stopped her right there and continued up the stairs. The staircase climb didn't take too long although the morning heat was getting intense.
