Naha Photo Gallery - Shopping Arcades

Branching off from the touristy International Street's eastern end are old-style covered shopping arcades where time has stood still. Sheltered from the elements, it's a good walk to explore some local specialties, from donuts and ice-cream to seaweed. There are several arcaded streets here, such as Heiwa-dori, Ichiban-hondori, and Taihei-dori. However, it seems these streets have had better days, with a lot of shops closed for good. Bundle a walk along these arcades with the Makishi Market, which is buried within this area.
