Oxford Photo Gallery - Views from St. Mary's Church

St Mary's has been the heart of the medieval university since the 12th century, being used for special occasions such as awarding degrees to students. The oldest section of the church is the tower, which dates from the late 13th century.

To get up the tower, pay a modest admission charge and climb 127 steps. The views will be worth it.

Looking north, the Radcliffe Camera is just next door.

Looking east, you can see above All Souls College's peripheral towers and into its quad.

Views in the other direction are also quite decent. You are right in the centre of Oxford after all.

Besides the nice views, do take a look at the building's architectural details.
