Hiking in Tayrona National Natural Park

Plenty of tourists are with you hiking the park's main trails during the day. With rugged terrain, it is a sweaty trek through the rainforest with beach rewards every now and then. To reach the archaeological ruins, hire a guide and set off very early for a tough roundtrip!

Pay attention to your surroundings and you may be able to spot some wildlife hanging in the trees.

Instead of walking, you can hire a horse for a faster ride to your destination within the park.

I could only go as far as El Cabo for my day trip, which is a popular beach with an elevated viewing area.

With the sun starting to fall, really consider taking a natural motorized transport to get back to your accommodations before dark.
