Windermere Photo Gallery - Orrest Head

Orrest Head is an easy hike from Windermere's town centre. The trail head just starts next to the Windermere Hotel across the road from the train station and Booths supermarket. It is sign-posted and continues as a fairly straight forward and easy uphill trek of 120m to the viewpoint at 238m, where there are many benches for you to sit down and enjoy the lake, town, and mountain views. The roundtrip is about 3.5km in total and a must-do if you're in town and the weather is good.
