The cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo along the Li River is a scenic but expensive way of exploring the karst scenery with peaks up to 300m high lining the banks. Xingping is a popular stop along the route and near a few highlights along the cruise, including the view that is on the back of the 20 yuan bank note.Xingping is also near the Yangshuo high-speed train station, which is only a 22 minute ride from Guilin with frequent trains throughout the day.
